1909- Metz Company was established
1913- Metz team won the Glidden Tour with perfect scores
Metz cars were equipped with a gearless transmission- “no clutch to slip, no gears to strip!”
1915- Metz produced their all time yearly production record of 7,200 cars and was the best selling American made car outside the United States, beating out Henry Ford and his Model T.
1919- Gear drive was introduced with a 45 hp 6 cylinder
1922- Company stopped production in August
